Hi, my name is Holly Arsenault. I am a Montreal-born, Seattle-based playwright.

My plays have been produced in Seattle at Annex Theatre, Live Girls! My plays have been developed and read at Seattle Repertory Theatre, where I am an alumna of the Writers Group and at the University of Washington School of Drama, where I am also an alum.

My play Undo is the recipient of the 2013 Theatre Puget Sound Gregory Award for Outstanding New Play and the 2013 Seattle Theater Writers' Gypsy Rose Lee Award for Excellence in Local Playwriting. Undo was a semi-finalist for the 2014 Princess Grace Award and was nominated for the 2014 American Theatre Critics Association new play awards. It is published Rain City Projects' Manifesto v.4, edited by Chay Yew, available from The Elliott Bay Book Company. My play 24 Pictures of a Pilot was a finalist for the Heideman Award at the National 10-Minute Play Contest at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and was published in Rain City Projects' Manifesto Series, v.2: Vivid Impact, edited by Steven Dietz. I am a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. You can also find me on the New Play Exchange.

For a day job, I help arts organizations connect with new audiences, with a focus on young and/or infrequent arts-goers. I am Director of Engagement for my alma mater, the UW School of Drama. Before that, I was the director of TeenTix, an organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to the arts for all teens, from 2005-2016. To learn more about my day-jobby-type work, find me on LinkedIn.
