Works-in-progress

Hiya!

I have an exciting new commission based on a little-known piece of Seattle history that will be workshopped in Seattle this June. Stay tuned for details!

Egress, my new full-length play, is about a group of high school students stuck in their band room without a teacher or phones during a lockdown, trying to figure out if this is just a "normal" day, or the day they will die. "Like if The Breakfast Club took place during a school shooting," says someone who read it. ***UPDATE: Egress is currently a semi-finalist for the O’Neill!***

I am currently writing my first full-length screenplay, Ski Trip, about a widowed mom (whose husband died in a skiing accident) disguising herself as a male chaperone in order to watch over her teenaged son on a school ski trip. Death + jokes = my brand.

Oh yeah, I am also in grad school at the University of St. Andrews. My dissertation is a full-length play (current working title: Thanks, Obama!) about Thanksgiving dinner and the terrifying possibility of the UK following the US down its dark path.
