Manifesto v.4 book launch and reading at Elliott Bay

Next Saturday, October 25th, folks will be reading excerpts from the six plays published in this year's iteration of Rain City Projects' great Manifesto series. This volume of plays was selected by Chay Yew. This is super exciting because a) my play is being published b) Chay Yew is amazing and c) Elliott Bay Books is the best bookstore on earth. Come!

Marvelous on Bainbridge Island

My kids' play, Marvelous, will be performed at Bainbridge Performing Arts November 14 & 16 as part of their fall education programs. Yay! More about that play here.

Marvelous at Seattle Children's Theatre Drama School

Today I got to meet the cast of my new play, MARVELOUS, which will be performed July 31 & August 1 & 2 at Seattle Children's Theatre by these talented young actors. MARVELOUS is an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen set in a depression-era traveling circus. More info here. 

 

Manifesto 4

When Rain City Projects picked my short play, 24 Pictures of a Pilot, for their second Manifesto, that was the moment when I started taking myself seriously as a playwright. If that hadn't happened, I probably would have never written Undo. And now I get to share that Undo is going to be published in Manifesto 4, edited by Chay Yew. I am really honored and excited to be included in this estimable list of writers, including my idol Keri Healey. Rain City Projects is a terrific organization that has made a big difference in my career. We are lucky to have them around.
